Analog Signs at the Gamble House

Jessica was thrilled to be asked to participate in Machine Project's Field Guide to the Gamble House. Machine asked 57 artists to create site-specific works in response to one of the most famous arts and crafts structures in the world.

The style in which renowned architects Greene & Greene designed many of their houses came to be known as “ultimate bungalow” — inspired by the smaller structures with which they share a typology but, as the adjective implies, of a different order of magnitude in size, materials, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Jessica's sign ULTIMATE BUNGALOW! is a hand-painted tribute to the ultimate ultimateness of the Gamble House.

The project has been getting a lot of attention. Both the LA Weekly and KCET's Artbound wrote articles that feature ULTIMATE BUNGALOW!

The sign (and all the other art!) is up now through October 5th, and there's a free night October 2nd from 8-10pm. Go here for more information.
